SAA is offering a total of ten travel scholarships for Early Career Members this year, including 5 “within continent travel scholarships” (750€) and 5 “cross continental travel scholarships” (1500€) for the active participation in the SAA Conference 2025. Individuals may apply who: 1. Are SAA Early Career Members and have paid dues for 2025. 2.

The awards committee selected a publication by Dr. Anna Jori Lücke (RWTH Aachen University) for this year’s Early Career Award. The first in-person conference since more the three years attracted 349 attendees – more than any other in-person SAA conference so far! This conference featured more than 40 paper sessions, symposia and poster sessions. Additionally, three highly inspiring keynotes were presented by Matthias Mehl, Faith Matcham, and this year’s ECR award winner Marieke Schreuder.
This year’s SAA Eary Career Award went to Marieke Schreuder (KU Leuven). Dr. Schreuder’s work targets the development and progression of mental health problems. She uses ambulatory assessment data to better understand emotion dynamics within individuals, and to use these dynamic parameters to forsee mental health problems.
