The awards committee selected a publication by Dr. Anna Jori Lücke (RWTH Aachen University) for this year’s Early Career Award. The article “Between-Person and Within-Person Associations of Sleep and Working-Memory in the Everyday Lives of Old and Very Old Adults: Initial Level, Learning, and Variability” published in Sleep uses data from an ambulatory assessment study in old adults to examine the links between sleep duration and working memory performance across seven days.

Dr. Lücke will present this work as well as her ongoing research in the area of sleep and emotion regulation  as a keynote at the SAA Conference in Ann Arbor.
